“I started out as a Beacon contractor four years ago, initially serving three months as a Senior Developer. After nine months I was sufficiently impressed by Beacon to take on a full time job as an employee.  Of course, being a contractor paid better, but the satisfaction I get out of working here goes beyond money.

Top on the list is the supportive atmosphere. There is no “blame culture” here, and I get to work in an environment where I don’t need to feel defensive or apprehensive about what I do, and colleagues are always happy to help and share what they know. When I first started, I heard that Beacon had a strong emphasis on process, and it has certainly lived up to its reputation for excellence in this area.

And the people! There are lots of very smart people here, and the person who first said it to me is a Microsoft MVP, highly respected in the field of Microsoft development. Guess what, he works at Beacon too.

The projects I work on are always interesting, I receive lots of opportunities for training, and was promoted to Software Architect earlier this year.  What else can I say? Beacon is a really great place to work.”
