The Client

Our client specialises in providing insurance products to agricultural communities in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

The Challenge

The client wanted to revamp their sales and customer quoting and tracking application to support the performance of their highly mobile client representatives. The new application must enable customer representatives to prepare policy quotations easily in the field, capture updates on customer information, and quickly synchronise updated data correctly with their core backend systems when the representatives return to base.

The recommended architecture Microsoft .NET was relatively new and untried for this client, and they required their software partner to work closely with their project team to get the application delivered to market before the set deadline.

The Solution

Working in close collaboration with our client’s staff, Beacon provided system design and software development to enable the desired quoting and customer data management functionalities using .NET, C#, DB2, and XML while establishing a secure interface with backend systems through Web Services integration.
